Kan Phoo Pwint Co., Ltd.
Kan Phoo Pwint Co., Ltd. has been acquiring vacant land and virgin land and conducting the following activities.
- Establishment of teak plantation
- Agroforestry (Forest plantations intercropped with field crops)
- Establishment of bamboo plantation
- Establishment of other hardwood and fire-wood plantation for the village
- Production of bamboo and wood-based raw materials for sustainable energy and establishment of Wood pellet Factory to export wood pellets/li>
- Establishing Forest village for ecotourism
- Exporting timber and value-added timber products
Establishment of teak plantation
The land will be cleared and teak plantations will be established on 42400 hactres of vacant and virgin land granted by the government. Only 70 percent of the whole area could be planted with teak and detailed plan for each year is as follows.
Agroforestry (Forest plantations intercropped with field crops)
After the establishment of teak plantation, upland rice (taungyar rice) and some leguminous crops will be grown between the teak rows in the first two years. Starting from the third year and later on, certain crop such as coffee which will be thriving between the teak rows will be grown.
Establishing bamboo plantation
Naturally grown bamboo plantations within the permitted area will be conserved and commercial bamboo plantations will be established.
Establishment of other hardwood and fire-wood plantation for the village
Teak plantation alone will not be established on the vacant and virgin land granted for plantation. The area will be planted with other hard wood such as Pyinkado (Xylia dolabriformis), and fast-growing trees such as Acacia sp., Leucaena leucocephala for fire-wood plantation for the village. This will serve as bio-diversification of the area.
Establishment of Wood Pellet Factory
The branches, twigs and leaves from land clearing at the outset of teak plantation establishment and also after thinning, pieces of fire-wood plantation, bamboo plantation will be used as raw material (wood chips) in making wood pellets for export.
Green Forest Myanmar Public Co., Ltd.
GFM Public Co., Ltd. was founded in 2013 and it is operating Solar Panels (System) will be distributed for irrigation system and lighting purpose. It will also establish forest plantations. As it is a Public company, shares for the operating business will be sold to the public and the profit will be divided among the share-holders.
Establishment of Dawei Perennial crop Plantation
Perennial crop plantation will be established on 1200 Hactres of vacant and virgin land at Son Sin Phyar village, Tha-yet-chaung Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region. Detailed plan for annual growing is as follows.
Mawcherry Orchard Coffee Firms
Coffee orchards were established in Kandawgyi area and Say-ta-lone village, Pyin-Oo-Lwin Township, Mandalay Region in 2010-2011. In Kandawgyi area, 6 acres of coffee was planted while efforts were made to grow 50 acres of mango and 150 acres of coffe at 200 acres of Say-ta-lone village. At the time of coffee harvest, value-added product of quality coffee powder will be produced.
